Yoga Today's fast-pace life certainly take full toll of the childerns well-being. Yoga helps them keep physically fit, mentally strong and spiritually aware. Reason why, at IIS yoga is compulsary for all classes Art, Craft & Puppetry Students explore their own creativity by activating their grey cells through arts, crafts and puppetry. Specially trained teachers help them in developing their inherent talents through invention, innovation and ofcourse, loads of encouragement. Music & Dance Western / Indian music and dance form an integral part of the school curriculum, adding to the fun and excitment in the campus. Expert professionals guide the students in their quest to express themselves through their talents.  |

| Community Out Reach Programme- ABINAV | ABINAV is our community service programme in action. This project was started in the month of September 2007 in collaboration with Akshaya Foundation Library Programme and partnership with the Department of Education. As a pilot project, we selected a very small school, GKHPS Doddakannahalli, with a strength of about 40 children. We have conducted Art classes in our school like colouring and mask making. We have also distributed blankets for the children on January 15th 2008. We will be doing more such projects in the coming academic years    |

2008 IIS OUTSTANDING PAPER PRESENTATION AWARD
It was a proud moment for India International School on Sep 6th, 2008 for it hosted the 2008 IIS OUTSTANDING PAPER RESENATION AWARD. IIS provided the platform to all ICSE, CBSE, State Board and International School to take part in the paper presentation. Reciprocating to the offer given,nearly 60 – 80 Principals & Teachers took part in the paper presentation,out of which the best ten were chosen. Dr.Gururaj Karajagi, the Chairman of the Academy for Creative Teaching, Bangalore, Mrs. Maya Menon, Founder Director of Teachers Foundation, Dr.Ali Khwaja,a graduate from IIT, Dr.S.Nayantara, Professor of IIM Bangalore,Dr.Srrekantha Swamy, Professor of R.V.Teachers College and Dr.Ganesh Bhatt, Professor of M.E.S. Teachers College were the judges on that day. All the ten finalists presented their paper in front of the audience followed by an interactive session. Mrs.Sunita Phadnis of Vyasa International School got the first prize. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs.25, 000/- and a Laptop. The second prize was bagged by Dr.M.V.Subramanya of Sri Kumaran Public School, who was awarded Rs.15, 000/- with a laptop. The third prize went to Mr.Aneesh Kumar of Sarla Birla Academy who was awarded Rs.10, 000/-. The other 7 finalists were given a consolation prize of Rs. 5,000/- each. “Naadoja” Hon’ble Justice Dr.S.R.Nayak, was the Chief Guest of the day and Mr.J.Alexander I.A.S. was the guest of honour. Mr.M.Krishna, the chairman of India International School gave the welcome note and Mrs.Usha Mohan the principal proposed the vote of thanks.   | |
